O Legado de Clausewitz para a sociedade

Resumo

Trata-se de artigo de revisão, que teve por objetivo identificar as evidências do legado de Clausewitz para o pensamento contemporâneo, a partir de observações realizadas por estrategistas, militares e autoridades políticas, acerca das contribuições da teoria e do trabalho de Clausewitz. Inicia-se com uma síntese histórica da vida do general prussiano, destacando os principais fenômenos políticos da época e a influência no modo de pensar do estrategista. Após isso, é descrita a forma metodológica em que o artigo científico pretende resolver o problema de pesquisa. Em seguida, são discutidos os ensinamentos e definições contidas na obra “Da Guerra”, destacando o possível legado para a sociedade. Sendo esforço de pesquisa inicial, o mesmo foi concentrando e limitando, especificamente, ao livro 2, da obra citada. Formula-se, como resultado, que os ensinamentos de Clausewitz seguem atuais, mesmo tendo ocorrido quase duzentos anos após sua morte.

 ABSTRACT: It is a review article, which aimed to identify the evidence of Clausewitz's legacy for contemporary thinking, based on observations made by strategists, military and political authorities, about the contributions of Clausewitz's theory and work. It begins with a historical synthesis of the life of the Prussian general, emphasizing the main political phenomena of the time and the influence in the way of thinking of the strategist. After that, it is described the methodological way in which the scientific article intends to solve the research problem. Next, the teachings and definitions contained in the book "On War" are discussed, highlighting the possible legacy for society. As an initial research effort, the same was concentrated and limited, specifically, to Book 2, of the work cited. As a result, Clausewitz's teachings are still present, even though almost two hundred years after his death.
