A ENERGIA NUCLEAR NO BRASIL: HISTÓRICO E RESULTADOS.

Resumo

RESUMO: Esta pesquisa teve como objetivodescrever a evolução e o uso da energia nuclear no Brasil, identificando a trajetória nacional no desenvolvimento de conhecimentos sobre seu aproveitamento seguro e sustentável. Para tal, o estudo sintetizou a história brasileira da pesquisa sobre energia nuclear e agregou fatos atuais que podem impactar o futuro dessa energia no País, além de verificar tecnologias para geração e distribuição da energia nuclear, seu reposicionamento como energia limpa, entre outras possibilidades. E finalmente apresentou futuros possíveis para o Brasil. Destaca-se, ainda, que o presente artigo é fruto de pesquisa do Subgrupo de Energia Nuclear e Futuro do Laboratório de Simulação e Cenários da Escola de Guerra Naval.

ABSTRACT: This research aimed to describe the evolution and use of nuclear energy in Brazil, identifying the national trajectory in the development of knowledge about its safe and sustainable use. To this end, the study synthesized the Brazilian history of research on nuclear energy and added current facts that may impact the future of this energy in the country, in addition to verifying technologies for the generation and distribution of nuclear energy, its repositioning as clean energy, among other possibilities. And finally, it presented possible futures for Brazil. It is also noteworthy that this article is the result of research by the Nuclear Energy and Future Subgroup of the Simulation and Scenarios Laboratory of the Naval War College.
